Вот какая интересная статья Кевина Келли (бывшего редактора журнала Wired и вообще очень забавного человека) про интернет и его будущее.
В частности, он очень хорошо пишет о том, что интернет - это, в сущности, один компьютер, и что искусственный интеллект в самом деле возникает в его недрах (в данном случае это не пресловутый "SF-crap", а действительно разумное объяснение).



"...What happens when the data flow is asymmetrical - but in favor of creators? What happens when everyone is uploading far more than they download? If everyone is busy making, altering, mixing, and mashing, who will have time to sit back and veg out? Who will be a consumer?
No one. And that's just fine. A world where production outpaces consumption should not be sustainable; that's a lesson from Economics 101. But online, where many ideas that don't work in theory succeed in practice, the audience increasingly doesn't matter. What matters is the network of social creation, the community of collaborative interaction that futurist Alvin Toffler called prosumption. As with blogging and BitTorrent, prosumers produce and consume at once. After the hysteria has died down, after the millions of dollars have been gained and lost, after the strands of mind, once achingly isolated, have started to come together - the only thing we can say is: Our Machine is born. Простите, это трескучий идиот, не понимающий что говорит.

1. Первый абзац.
С каких это пор об информации можно говорить как о "продукте" (вроде ботинок), так что что-то там "развалится" если "потребление" не будет потреблять "птоизводство"?!! Ну, завалили склад, лежит, гниёт, кризис перепроизводства.
Он - мудак, официозный мудак-журналист, механически переносящий штампы "рыночного" псевдо-образования. Способности рассуждать меньше, чем у ежа. "Lesson from Economics 101" my ass.

2. Второй абзац - такая же бессмысленная трескня с модным словом neural net.

Журно-ничтожества такого калибра в начале 20 века писали о том, что Эйнштейн доказал, что "все в мире относительно" или что что-нибудь там из искусства невозможно "по закону энтропии".
"Всех нас ждет тепловая смерть".

Ага-ага. Заповедник непуганных идиотов.

Я понял как низко вы оцениваете умственные способности Келли, но тогда ответьте мне, пожалуйста, на один вопрос: почему его, а не вас в таком случае назначили главным редактором влиятельнейшего журнала Wired ? Я лично знаю основателя журнала Wired Николаса Негропонте, и, поверьте мне, это не тот человек, который стал бы назначать "трескучего идиота" на такую должность.

Теперь по существу.
По-вашему, информация - это не продукт ? В наше-то время ? А на чём тогда основана половина современной экономики ? Я, например, живу за счёт того, что перерабатываю информацию, пока она свежая. А если устареет хотя бы на день - её можно будет выкинуть вместе с парой миллионов долларов. Это вам из личного примера, чтобы далеко не ходить.
А ещё задумайтесь, на чём именно заработаны 120 миллиардов рыночного капитала компании Гугл.

Второй абзац: вы всерьёз думаете, что будущее не за Web OS ? Может быть, вы жили на Луне два последних года ?

Я так понимаю, что дальше второго абзаца вы не прочитали.

Ага, я понял, что имеется в виду под вторым абзацем. К вашему сведению, фраза "neural net" была модной лет двадцать назад.
И попробуйте сказать, что Википедия или ЖЖ не создаётся и не классифицируется самими пользователями.
